Gum treatment in Budapest, District XII

Are your gums bleeding, swollen or sensitive?

Most gum problems can be treated well if you see a specialist in time. As a dental hygienist, I offer three kinds of gum treatment: “classic” gingivitis treatment, hyaluronic acid gum treatment and gum care for expectant mothers. Below I briefly describe all three, so you can see which one could work best for you.

Although you can choose from three gum treatments, it is worth knowing that:

  • the basis of each is the thorough removal of tartar and plaque,
  • they are painless treatments, so they can be done without anaesthesia,
  • the practice is in District XII, at Maros utca 30/b.

Does this sound familiar?

Do your gums bleed when you brush, and are they red and swollen?

This is the first sign of gingivitis, which can still be reversed at this stage. I write more about it here: Gingivitis treatment.

Are you expecting a baby, and have your gums become more sensitive and prone to bleeding since then?

The hormonal changes of pregnancy affect the gums as well. You can read more about this here: Gingivitis during pregnancy.

Did it get better after a cleaning, but the inflammation keeps coming back?

In this case, hyaluronic acid gel can help to soothe the inflamed gums. Details: Hyaluronic acid gum treatment.

If you cannot decide which treatment would be ideal for you, no problem: at the first appointment I check your gums, and we decide together what you need.

The gum treatments used at Dental Salon in brief

Gingivitis treatment

During the treatment I thoroughly clean your teeth both along the gum line and below the gums. Then I show you how to care for your teeth at home, so that the result lasts as long as possible. I clean the teeth with Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT).

From 47,000 HUF

Hyaluronic acid gum treatment

I apply hyaluronic acid as a gel to the inflamed gums, so it can reduce inflammation, bleeding and swelling exactly where it is needed. It is a treatment without injections or anaesthesia, and I usually recommend repeating it every 3-6 months.

39,000 HUF / session

Gingivitis during pregnancy

During pregnancy, good oral hygiene and regular dental hygiene treatments are extremely important, as they help to prevent or reduce gingivitis. I recommend one treatment per trimester, and I have put together a package for expectant mothers for this.

Every gum treatment has the same basis

Whatever the gum problem, the first step towards solving it is always removing tartar and plaque. Without this, the inflammation will keep coming back, whatever toothpaste, mouthwash or gel you use.

That is why I always start the treatment with Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT), and if needed, hyaluronic acid or probiotic treatment builds on it. At the end of the protocol we go through your oral care habits, because a long-term result is only possible if your oral care routine at home is right as well.

When it is no longer just inflammation

Without treatment, gingivitis can even develop into periodontitis, which is a much more serious problem. You can read about the difference here: Gingivitis or periodontitis? (in Hungarian)

Gums that recede because of periodontitis can only be restored with serious procedures. I wrote about this in the Gum recession (in Hungarian) article, and you can read about gum grafting (in Hungarian) here. Receded gums can be restored at a periodontology or oral surgery clinic; I do not offer this.

Frequently asked questions about gum treatment

Which gum treatment do I need?

We decide this together at the first appointment, after assessing the condition of your gums. With bleeding, swollen gums we usually start by removing tartar and plaque, and if the inflammation is stubborn, hyaluronic acid gel can be added.

Does gum treatment hurt?

No. Guided Biofilm Therapy cleans the teeth and gums gently, and I apply the hyaluronic acid gel to the affected area without injections or anaesthesia. If you still feel sensitivity anywhere, tell me, and together we will find the ideal solution.

How much does gum treatment cost?

The Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) basic treatment costs 47,000 HUF, and the hyaluronic acid treatment of the full dentition costs 39,000 HUF per session. The price list is valid from 5 January 2026.

Can I come for gum treatment during pregnancy?

Yes, and it is even worth it, as the hormonal changes of pregnancy favour the development of gingivitis. In my experience, it is worth having the treatment once per trimester. For this I offer a pregnancy package: the three treatments together cost 127,000 HUF, and you can start at any time during pregnancy, although the first weeks are the most ideal.

Can you treat receded gums?

None of the dental hygiene gum treatments can “regrow” receded gums. With this kind of problem, you need to visit a periodontology or oral surgery clinic.

Don't put it off any longer!

If your gums are bleeding or swollen, don't wait until the problem gets worse. Book an appointment with me, and let's talk through the best solution for you. I look forward to seeing you!
